Where and when will the 2024 NASW-GA State Virtual Conference take place?
The 2024 NASW-GA State Virtual Conference “Social Work Breaks Barriers” will be held virtually and take place online April 18-20, 2024. 

What virtual platform will be used for the Conference?
Zoom

Do I have to be a social worker to attend the 2024 NASW-GA  Virtual State Conference?

 No, in addition to social workers, we encourage other mental health and human services professionals to attend the conference.

What is included in the registration cost?
â–  Access to our varied social work topics including the keynote address.
â–  Conference, April 18-20, 2024.  Earn up to 20 live-streamed CE hrs.

What is the deadline for registration? 
Registration will remain open 5 days before the State Conference. Register early as space is limited!

Is registration required?
Yes. Please visit the NASW-GA Chapter’s website at https://naswga.org/ Once you are on the homepage, click on the Events tab and then the 2024 Virtual Conference subtab where you will view all pertinent information relevant to the Virtual Conference. 

Is there a Student Registration rate?
Yes. A student registration rate is available for student members of NASW-GA.


Is there a discount for multiple registrations (Group Rate) from the same organization? Yes. If five or more people from the same organization register for 2024. The five individuals must register as one and submit one group payment.

How do I receive my CE credit?
If you view a program live and, in its entirety, you are entitled to receive CE credit, and your certificate will indicate Conference CE program was live. CE certificates will be forwarded to your email. The distribution date for the CE certificates is April 29, 2024 - May 3, 2024.
 
Is there a pre-conference continuing education opportunity?
Yes. Pre-conference registrants will be encouraged to verify their computer’s capability to host the Zoom platform. Testing links will be provided to registrants so they become familiar with the site, and its features. Registrants will also receive registration and login directions.

When will I receive login information?
Login information will be sent a day before each event as follows:


April 18th Conference day– Login information will be sent on April 17th.

April 19th Conference day: Login information will be sent on
April 18th.

April 20th Conference day- Login information will be sent on April 19th.
 
Will handouts be provided?
Yes, if applicable to the presentation.
 
How far ahead of time should we log in to a session?
All conference sessions will begin on time. We recommend that you log in 30 minutes before the start of each day to double-check your connection and sound.
 
Can I participate if I live outside of the United States?
You bet you can! You can participate in the Virtual Conference for no additional cost as long as you have Internet access that meets the Technical Requirements.

What is the conference cancellation policy?
Refunds will be processed according to the following cancellation policy: Requests for refunds must be made in writing and sent to NASW-GA by email at naswgaannualconference@gmail. Refunds will be issued no later than 21 days following receipt of the request and will follow the schedule below:
â–ª For cancellation requests received before March 28, 2024: Y
ou will receive a 100% refund of your registration fee.
â–ª For cancellation requests received before April 4, 2024
: You will receive a 75% refund of your registration fee.

â–ª For cancellation requests received before April 11, 2024: You will

receive a 50% refund of your registration fee.

â–ª No refunds will be made for cancellations received a week before the scheduled event.
â–ª NASW-GA regrets that refunds will not be given for No-Shows. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Can I share the 2024 NASW-GA Virtual Conference Registration Link(s) with a non-conference registrant?
No - © All Rights Reserved. This virtual conference and the materials contained within are intended for use only by those who registered for the virtual conference with NASW Georgia Chapter. Use or viewing these materials outside of the course without written permission is a violation of the copyright.
Please ensure your computer meets hardware, software, and bandwidth requirements well in advance of the webcast. Recommendations:

Zoom system requirements: Windows, MacOS, Linux – Zoom Support

â–  It is recommended that you use a PC or MAC with an updated Internet Browser.  We recommend Google, Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Edge, or Safari. You will not be able to use Internet Explorer as it is too old to be compatible.
â–  Make sure you have pop-up blockers disabled in your internet browser settings.
â–  Make sure that your internet browser is Active X enabled.
â–  WIFI is not recommended. The problem with WiFi is signal strength can vary causing bandwidth to increase or decrease.
â–  We recommend a wired connection. A wired connection gives a consistent signal and consistent bandwidth.
A wired connection provides a better experience.
â–  Audio (sound) is projected through your computer speakers. Be sure your computer is equipped with speakers or the room where the conference is being broadcast is equipped with speakers so you can hear the presenters.

Please note:

  • We do not recommend using Internet Explorer to log in or register.

  • You cannot register via phone.  You must register on an ipad, desktop, or laptop.

  • NASWGA reserves the right to change the confernce schedule and amend presentations at any time.
