The Georgia Chapter Board of Directors is made up of General Officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer), Unit Representatives (based on Unit membership), Members at Large, and Undergraduate and Graduate Student Representatives. All positions are elected by the Chapter membership for a two-year term, with the exception of Student Representatives and President Elect. The Chapter Committee on Nominations and Leadership Identification (CCNLI) puts forth a proposed slate each year and elections take place in the spring.
Committees and taskforces are led by a Board-appointed chair and guided by a formal charge. Active participation on a committee or taskforce is mutually beneficial for the member and Chapter as a whole. Members have the opportunity to be directly involved with NASW-GA programs and initiatives while developing leadership skills and expanding their professional network.
If you are a member and interested in discovering how you can advance the Chapter and yourself by volunteering, contact the Chapter Office at email@example.com. Please note:
- Most committee business is conducted by email and teleconference.
- Some committees may require specific qualifications for participation.
