Test Preparation Session for Students and Social Work Professionals presented in collaboration with Kennesaw State Universiity School of Social Work & Human Services and NASW-GA. Â No CE's are offered.
Facilitator:Â Dawn Apgar, Ph.D., LSW, ACSW
For 20 years Dawn Apgar has been helping social workers pass the ASWB Licensure Examination! In recent years, she has worked in numerous states to assist with establishing statewide licensure test preparation programs.
Dr. Apgar has researched licensure funded by the American Foundation for Research and Consumer Education in Social Work Regulation and is currently chairperson of her state’s social work licensing board. She is a past President of the New Jersey Chapter of NASW and has been on its National Board of Directors. In 2014, the Chapter presented her with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Apgar has taught in both undergraduate and graduate social work programs and has extensive direct practice, policy, and management experience in the social work field.
Session Materials: Registration includes Digital Course package and a Physical Prep Guide which will be mailed to you. The platform used for the licensure preparation sessions is a comprehensive Learning Management System inclusive of a digital/on-line licensure preparation guide (registrants choose either the Masters Social Work Level/MSW or Clinical Social Work Level/CSW guide). Along with the digital preparation guide, participants gain access to these digital features: ► Flash Cards with sample exam questions/answers ► Games to test your knowledge of exam topics ► Discussion Board where those who are preparing for the licensure exam can chat – A built in network of peer support! ► Study plan (Structured Plan) to help you better organize and prepare for the licensure exam ► Access to the Licensure Preparation Facilitator – Dr. Dawn Apgar ►**Registrants have access to the Learning Management System and all of its features outlined above for a period of 6-months at no extra cost. Registrants will receive a hard copy (through the mail) of the study guide
Note: Please know that when you register and select an exam preparation guide - either the Masters Social Work or Clinical Social Work level guide, they CANNOT CHANGE THE GUIDE SELECTIONÂ as it automatically populates upon your registration.
Virtual Licensure Preparation Refund Policy: Once you register for a licensure preparation session, NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED – DESPITE THE CIRCUMSTANCE. This session is a virtual where materials and access to the digital platform work simultaneously with your payment. Meaning you will gain access to the Learning Management System once your registration information is received and verified, and access cannot be rescinded. Because of the registration transaction and quick transfer of the product to the registrant, a process of rapid absorption of both the registration and administrative processing fees occurs, making the payment from the registrant non-refundable.
