A Day in the Life of A Super School Social Worke - This presentation is designed to educate, inspire, inform and assist social workers who are interested in the field of school social work or who are currently practicing school social

workers. The target population is everyone, whether you are currently an MSW student, hold a master’s or clinical license or you are a social work professional working in another setting. In this presentation, you will learn about the roles, responsibilities, obstacles and rewards of being a social worker. The presenter will discuss day-to-day activities, expectations, policies, safety and resources used by school social workers in everyday practice. It will also discuss the

importance of adequate self-awareness and self-care for professionals in the field.  At the end of the presentation, attendees will be able to identify roles and responsibilities of a school social worker, ways to remain safe and visible in schools and in the communities, they service, advocacy for self and others and ways to promote the field of social work in educational settings.
