2020 Annual State Conference

Alert! Georgia Conference
We are excited to announce a change in the conference venue and conference hosting month. Future conference dates will be August 21-23, 2020 | August 19-22, 2021 | and
August 18-21, 2022.
Why the month change for hosting the conference? Over the years, NASWGA has received many complaints and requests to host the annual conference before the licensure renewal month in September. Social workers wanted to insure an opportunity to obtain continuing education hours right before the September licensure renewal month. Hosting our conference in October did not afford this chance to members and non-members alike.
New Conference Venue: Atlanta Marriott Northeast/Emory Area, 2000 Century Blvd NE, Atlanta, GA 30345.
Why the venue change? The NASWGA two-year conference venue contract with the Hilton Marietta Conference and Hotel Center ended on October 21, 2019. NASWGA sought a venue that offered the best conference package (packages include hotel rooms, conference break-out rooms, food and parking). Having a reasonable package deal in place permits NASWGA the ability to offer conference registration fees that are affordable. Atlanta Marriott Northeast/Emory Area extended an exceptional package deal.
**NASW-GA is closely monitoring developments related to the coronavirus (COVID-19). Based on the information we have at this time, the NASW-GA 2020 National Conference, scheduled for the dates of August 21-23, 2020, is proceeding as planned. We will continue monitoring updates by the WHO, the CDC, and local public health authorities and will provide updates if our plans change.
