*ASWB will only register candidates to take one of the Association examinations who have applied to a member board for social work licensure, submitted themselves to the legal jurisdiction of the member board, and have been approved to take a specific category of examination by such member board. Therefore, for both the Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) processes, applicants must begin by submitting all necessary forms and materials to the Composite Board. The Composite Board will then advise ASWB of the names of the applicants who are approved t take the exam. Scores are sent directly to the Composite Board and applications will be approved for licensure once all requirements have been met.
